Kim Snyder
Kim has lived in Greene County from birth and now lives in Xenia. She graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Marketing and a Master of Arts degree, Educational Technology. She is employed at META Solutions, Dayton as a Systems Administrator.
She has two children, Chase and Kendra, who grew up on the family farm that their great-grandfather, Hollie Jenkins, bought in 1989. It was a mile North from his farm, purchased in 1963. He then brought their father, Kevin, in to take over the operation when he retired. Chase and Kendra participated in sports and 4-H, helping their father farrow their own show pigs in the latter years. Both graduated from The Ohio State University, Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Kim is also a grandmother of two, Trace and Lane.
Kim's Grandfather Hollie was an "old school" farmer who liked to see those freshly tilled fields after harvest. Kevin was eventually able to implement a no-till system and installed waterways and tile to improve drainage. Kim learned about the importance of soil and water conservation in grade school, through GSWCD in the classroom, but it wasn't until she began living on the family farm that she truly understood the impact we have on these precious resources.
Kim has served as a board member since 2015.
