Ken Middleton
Ken Middleton is the Urban Specialist of the Greene Soil & Water Conservation District. Ken is a life long resident of Greene County. He attended the Ohio State Univeristy and recieved a Bachelors of Science in Business. Ken has been with Greene SWCD for over 24 years.
The Urban Specialist is an employee of the Greene Soil & Water Conservation District and is authorized by Section 940 of the Ohio Revised Code. The employee is under the direct responsibility of the Board of Supervisors with the daily supervision and guidance of the District Director. The Urban Specialist will, as a member of the District staff, carry out the general goals, policies, and objectives of the Greene Soil & Water Conservation District. This employee will be primarily responsible for providing technical assistance to landowners, consultants, engineers, units of government, and other cooperators of the District. This person will cooperatively work with the County Engineer through MOUs to manage and implement the County Stormwater Regulations, County Sub-Division Regulations, County and NPDES Earth Disturbing Permits, and MS4 program through the administration, plan review, permitting, field inspections, reporting, and outreach. The person in this role must be a self-starter and have the ability to set, maintain, and manage the Urban Team appointments without direct supervision from the District Director.
