Greene SWCD & Conservation Club Scholarships 2007

High School Seniors living in Greene County and planning to attend an accredited college in the field of agriculture or natural resources were invited to apply for scholarships.

The following scholarships will be awarded for 2007.

The first, a $1,000 scholarship, is presented to Lisa Tronchetti, Jefferson Scranton High School graduate planning to attend ISU in the fall, by Greene Soil & Water Conservation Club and Harold Puffer, a Greene County landowner.

A $500 scholarship, will be presented by Greene Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) to Robert Carman, also a Jefferson Scranton High School Grad.

Criteria used in selecting the winners were need, leadership (service, character and self motivation) and scholastic achievement.
